Filipino comedian Chocoleit dead at 46

Filipino actor, comedian and TV host Chokoleit died of a heart attack 9 March 2019 after having trouble breathing during a concert. He was 46 years old.

Chocoleit, whose real name is Jonathan Aguilar Garcia, was best known for his role as Pearly Shell in ABS-CBN television series Marina.

The comedian was born on 25 June 1972.

In a statement, Star Magic said that Chokoleit was performing in an out of town show in Abra when he experienced difficulty in breathing after his performance.

In his Twitter account, fellow comedian Vice Ganda posted this message: “Thank you Lord for giving me a chance to meet Chokoleit and become his friend. I’m sad that we lost him.”

“But happy that he’ll be in a much peaceful and happier place now with you. Thanks for everything Chokie. I love you!”
