The festival
Panagbenga is an annual flower festival celebrated every February in the city that reflects the history, traditions and values of Baguio and the Cordilleras. This month-long event flourishes through community spirit involvement.
The term “Panagbenga” comes from a Kankanaey term meaning “season of blooming”. This festival reflects the history, traditions and values of Baguio and the Cordilleras.
“Panagbenga will always be Baguio’s grand celebration of life, proud fiesta of the best in our city’s floral wealth, joyfully shared with our visitors and guests for their fullest enjoyment of the best there is in Baguio,” Councilor Elmer Datuin, co-chairman of the 2019 organizing committee, said in an interview Wednesday..
